ABOUT ME
Breana is a 2012 graduate of Fayetteville State University and received a BA in Theatre. She was one of the founding members of Commonly Uncommon, a student based performance company on the campus of Fayetteville State University. In 2011, she was awarded the NC Campus Compact Community Impact Student Award. She now holds an MFA in Playwriting from Hollins University.
WHAT I'VE DONE
Breana's play Secrets At Ashley Manor was selected to be apart of the National Black Theatre Festival in July 2019 in Winston-Salem, NC. She is currently a member of the New Perspective Theatre Company's 2019 Women Work Short Play Lab in NYC. Her play The Abundance of the Heart was featured in the NPTC Short Play Festival summer 2019.
WHAT I DO
Breana is a former middle school theatre teacher for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. In 2018 she focused on becoming a successful self-producing playwright in Charlotte, NC and mentored Theatre Majors at Johnson C. Smith University. She is currently a Teaching Artist and works in the film industry as a script supervisor and freelance screenwriter.
